I'm Jacques Marais, and 21thousand is my software studio.

Most software for small businesses is built to suit everyone, so it often doesn't fit any one business very well. A plumber and a driving school have very different days, but they usually end up with the same general tools.

So I build for one industry at a time. I talk to owners in that industry, find the jobs that take up too much of their week, and make a tool that handles those jobs well. Pricing is kept simple, billing is monthly, and there are no long contracts.

My background is in software development and UI/UX design. If you run a small business and something in your week is harder than it should be, I'd like to hear about it.
